The chassis of the portable flange end milling machine is connected with the workpiece to be processed through the outrigger or other mounting supports. The base is equipped with a fixed shaft. The inner end of the beam is placed on the fixed shaft through a bearing loop, and the outer end is placed on the flange to be processed. The fixed shaft is used for centering. The outer end is equipped with a power head, a traction mechanism and an up and down floating mechanism.
The power head drives the milling cutter to rotate, the traction mechanism drives the beam to rotate along the flange surface, and the up and down floating mechanism drives the power head to move up and down.
A photoelectric detection element is installed between the central fixed shaft and the power head. The photoelectric detection element transmits the up and down floating data of the power head in the process of moving along the flange surface to the central controller, which controls the power head to move in the opposite direction to the displacement of the flange surface through the up and down floating mechanism, so that the milling cutter can stay in the same plane when moving in a circle along the flange surface.
